While I prefer the KJV, I am not a KJV only advocate and believe that the "crimson thread of salvation" is evident in all of the popular translations, and all can lead one to salvation. However, when one begins to study the Bible more deeply, I believe that comparing several translations, and even using a greek dictionary at times to resolve disagreements, can help to understand difficult passages.
