Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. (9) Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. (10) Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. Should we not consider the eleven apostles already saved? John 14:16-17 (16) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because IT SEETH HIM NOT, neither knoweth him: BUT YE KNOW HIM; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. It seems to me that they believed, were baptized, and thereby were delivered from this world system and had come to know the Holy Ghost, although they had not yet been baptized in the Holy Ghost.
