On the subject of God extending mercy, I often wonder why God chose to reveal himself to me. There is little doubt in my mind that God has revealed himself to me in ways that has not been afforded other people. Why? Paul was knocked off his horse with a bright shining light and a voice from heaven. Why? How many people have had experiences like this? Surely this had much to do with his turning in faith to Jesus Christ and receiving God's mercy. Why does Paul get an experience like this while others do not? This is not an easy question. Does such happen in order to make things equal, or does God simply have his own reasons and equality is not necessarily part of his consideration?
