Multi-company was designed for tiynyerp 4.2 by Camptocamp for some historical and internal reasons, as a quick and dirty project. It was then supported by Openerp-sa. Since then I had to know about many failures in delivering it and not about any success. If you know about a correct (reliable accounting, safe isolation, etc...) of a multi-company solution, either Tryton or Openerp, please let us know and I will revise my standpoint. It is an open discussion.
