Well. First of all, some did. The result: tinysofa. As far as i can tell
ot wasnt such a big success. They introduced some big changes compared to
tsl, the switching from swup to apt for example. As far as i know the
"classic" tinysofa is kept up to date more or less, the new and shiny
"enterprise" tinysofa has been abandoned.

Second, dont underestimate the power of the dark si... uhm.. the workload
of maintaining a linux distribution. Having been part of could-dev gave me
a good look behind the curtain, having had my own TSL fork for a small
email appliance too. Also, i saw a guy creating and maintaining his own
distribution for a firewall appliance... Short version: Its way to much to
handle for just one guy, even two or three. It may be possible as a full
time job, just like Christian, Erlend and the others did. But all
cloud-dev members already had a daytime-job, and a real life. Both facts
really cut down the time available for maintaining "just another distro".

Back when Trustix kicked ass (1.2, 1.5, early 2.x) there werent many
alternative server distros. But now we have several to choose from, and i
dont see the need for "just another distro".

So, no "REAL TRUSTix" from me :-)

See above.

Danny :-)
