There will often be several "sets" of these settings. Typically
there is a VGA16 section, an SVGA section, and an Accel section.
You probably want to edit the Accel section, but you could be
editing the wrong one by mistake. (I often find myself editing
the VGA16 section when I am actually running one of the other
servers).
