Well last night your box was probably set up for DHCP.  If your router does not serve 
as a DHCP server, you'll need to set the IP address for the linux box.  Depending on 
your DSL service you may have been assigned an IP address which is on your router and 
you can just put any address in the form 192.168.X.X on your box, but I'm not sure how 
your router is configured.
