See my post from yesterday entitled "TDK-2.2 migration progress and todo 
list".  One thing that might not be obvious from that post is that any bug 
fixes that have made it into the Fulcrum services need to be backported to 
jakarta-turbine-2.

I am not sure whether the jakarta-turbine-fulcrum and jakarta-turbine-2 
services have been kept in sync...

I completely agree...  all we need is a simple Turbine sample application and 
tutorial.  Whatever direction we head in after Turbine 2.x, I don't think 
there should be a TDK, as it will be quite a lot of work to maintain and 
support.
