i just started to look at the avalon stuff ... but i think it would be good to have things like logging and configuration in commons ...
commons-configuration needs a XMLConfiguration implementation ... avalon has one .. why don't we join forces??
I'd be more than happy to help you or anyone on this. My personal tentative is that of seeing that we don't divide on this and eventually are able to reunite also on the Logging; now that Turbine uses Avalon it's even more important.
Lead me, I will follow (I'm on commons.dev also).
