Chris, I totally see where you are going with this and I like it. I can see
adding functionality to call stuff before the build() method is called and
doing that in a nicely named/defined interface.
The problem is that you are affecting quite a large body of code across many
projects with this. I understand that you are leaving the build() method as
deprecated so that will help. You need to really pay attention to this and
be blatantly respectful in your posts as you are sending a lot of patches
that tend to change some core functionality that could affect a lot of
people.
So, I am +1 on a patch that converts all the modules at once vs. doing it
just starting with the Screen module.
We need to get Frank and John and others to give a +1 before we can add it
in.
