Hmm, that's odd. I must be losing my mind or something--I'd thought
that forking was acceptable practice in the open source community under
certain circumstances (such as an unacceptable license). Forks are a
good thing when a piece of software under control by a certain
individual or group doesn't handle the needs of its user base or the
design ideas of its developer base. See GNU Emacs/X Emacs for an
example--and these projects still share code. I'm extremely happy to
see the next generation of WebMacro templating engine around. Long live
Velocity!
