gripe....you have the source code and the line number! help us figure it

first off, that isn't the latest sources.

org.apache.turbine.services.webmacro.TurbineWebMacroService.getContext(Turbi
neWebMacroService.java:135)

In the file I'm looking at, line 135 is a comment and definitely not
anything near getContext.

Looking at getContext, the only way you would get an NPE is because broker
is null. The only reason that broker would be null is because the service
wasn't able to initialize properly. the only reason why this would happen is
because the properties file isn't setup properly. so, the solution is that
you need to fix your properties file. given that you didn't bother to post
the relevant configuration in your properties file...all this time sending
this email is a waste.

sorry, i don't mean to be harsh, but you really can't expect to post some
url and have us solve all your problems for you. :-(
