FYI: Previously I mentioned that I would incorporate some of your
recommendations on changing the build process/directory structure. I would still
like to do this, but I've decided to wait and see what comes out of Jon's
proposal to the PMC. However, if there are some *incremental* changes that you
think should really be committed, feel free to post a diff based on the current
build files. (I'm speaking specifically of those changes that don't involve a
lib directory redefinition or general directory structure clean-up.)
