I was getting the same on a Tomcat install. In my case it was because it
wasnt finding the WebMacro.properties. In the install.txt it has the
TurbineResources.properties to be installed at
WEB-INF/conf/TurbineResources.properties. I dumped the WebMacro.properties
in there too without checking where the TurbineResources.properties says it
resides. The web.xml that comes with the distribution defaults to
WEB-INF/conf for the TurbineResources.properties. In the
TurbineResources.properties it is at default to WEB-INF. I had to change it
to;
services.TurbineWebMacroService.properties=/WEB-INF/conf/WebMacro.properties
In the case of JServ it would be matching the Global init Parameters in the
zone.properties file;
servlet.Turbine.initArgs=properties=f:/apache32/apachewap/conf/TurbineResour
ces.properties
to services.TurbineWebMacroService.properties.
The other gotcha I found was that the TemplatePath in WebMacro.properties
had to match the entry for;
services.TurbineWebMacroService.templates=/WEB-INF/templates
I got the error of the type;
org.webmacro.NotFoundException: Resource[template, screens/error.wm] not
found
for that one.
The other one I got was when using the Webmacro 1.1 jar files (they happened
to be first in the classpath doh!), the error I got was; "Exception:
org.webmacro.InitException: An unexpected exception was raised during
initialization. This is bad,there is either a bug in WebMacro, or your
configuration is messed up:" Which made me freak out. Changing to the 1.2
webmacro jar and the webmacro service ran fine.
I have my notes for the complete install on tomcat, I have started writing
them up for the xdocs but havent completed it yet. If you want my notes mail
me. Ill try to get them up as soon as I can.
