I don't know of many documents outlining the differences, as
they should both behave as standard servlet containers. But
the configuration files are slightly different and the
internal architechure is very different. Catalina has quite
extensive documentation already as Craig McClanahan does
an outstanding job at keeping the docs up to date.
Catalina actually has great docs and I believe there is
actually a very nice UML diagram depicting the overall
structure of Catalina. Look in the docs directory of
Catalina, that's my suggestion :-)
