Yes, I would like this too. The concern I have is with the
admin app where the username is the unique identifier
but it can be edited. I like the ID notion for a user
for all security implementations: then you always have
a unique identifier that is hidden. Even for LDAP couldn't
you use the UniqueId Service to give a user a unique
identifier?
