Fred Lin has contributed some work on Toolbox2, which you can read about it:

I think we should add a the core toolbox to the tg2 trunk, and put at
least the tginfo "gadget" in trunk.   But we'll likely want to grow a
healthy ecosystem of gadgets most of which are seprate prjects, but
many of them shuld ship with TurboGears 2.

We should also create a place for these extra gadgets in the
turbogears svn repository.
