Yes, I'm using appengine-monkey for running TG1.5 on GAE. It would be much harder without it. Porting TG2 should probably be easier since it doesn't use peak.rules or ConfigObj (but then I'm really not sure how the pylons.config is impl.). The simplest stuff to get going on GAE is actually CP3 + Genshi, and I would like TG1.x to be just as simple. So I'm currently working on TG1.5. Others are working on TG2.
