Oops, I actually meant to respond to this off-list. But the discussion has been great! I think the thing we should do for now is create a wiki-page on the Docs site and ask people to fill in their information there.
I've created a first draft of such a page here: I don't know everybody's information, so I wasn't able to add everybody to the list. But feel free to jump in and add yourself. A google group isn't bad, because it gives you a free wiki. But I think something on the Docs site would be very helpful.
