This is an excellent suggestion, and one that has been pondered before
I am sure. We can see the possibilities from some of the more robust
web application development environments built upon the Eclipse
framework. One of the more interesting questions is whether to take
the Eclipse plugin approach and build plugins for TurboGears, or to
start somewhere else and work toward the same goal. Quanta Plus, the
KDE web development environment, has many of the same features, and I
am sure we could name quite a few. Which ones have a promising
architecture, and which ones share the same philosophy and spirit as
TurboGears? Perhaps an IRC discussion on this topic would be fruitful
where we could throw all the tools on the table and try to build a
roadmap.

I would certainly like to participate.
