I've been using wing for about a year now. I was using SPE before, but there were a couple of re-curring bugs that I just couldn't deal with, although there were some features that I liked. I thought I might be able to fix some things, but digging into the source code was nightmare-ish.
Wing is great because the development team is SO responsive. I have found a couple of bugs and reported them and they always get back to me about them within 24 hours (sometimes sooner). I find the speed to be reasonable, but I have to restart the IDE about every other day because the "Source Assistant" eats memory. In short, Wing is my editor of choice, TG, Plone or otherwise. -percious On Oct 19, 9:40 am, Jurgis Pralgauskis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I a half-year newbie to python (and few monts to TG) > so I was also searching for options (OS prefferred) > > in win I foundhttp://mmm-experts.com/Products.aspx?ProductID=4 > > on ubuntu I think I'll settle onhttp://www.die-offenbachs.de/eric/for python > scintilla based folding, > autocompletion > source tree > interactive debug > bookmarks.. > integrated unittest (though I still haven't tried them..) > many more features... > some nice things > ashttp://www.die-offenbachs.de/eric/images/eric4-screen-10.png > (first impression is that it hass too many controll buttons, > but you can turn off window->Toolbars..) > > for templates I likehttp://quanta.kdewebdev.org/(folding, > autocompletion, source-tree) > > for versioninghttp://rapidsvn.tigris.org/and/orhttp://meld.sourceforge.net/ > > On Oct 17, 11:18 pm, Wu-Man <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Hi all, > > > I'm new to TurboGears.
