A couple of the undecideds in Ohio just said something similar in La O'Brien's focus group. I have to say that I do not understand it. I guess I don't know what it is that people are looking for from a forum like this. Do you care about Health Care? They have two very different approaches, they gave about as detailed and specific an explanation of this complicated issue as anyone possibly could. If anyone really does not know or understand the details of their health plans they can read them on the websites - at great length. The same could be said about a number of other issues addressed in the debate. But what kind of direct answer to questions like "How will you quickly solve the current financial crisis?" (which I think was the first question) or "Is Russia the Evil Empire?" (yes or no - thanks Tom) or would you go to war to defend Israel from an attack by Iraq?" or "What do you not know?" do people really expect from these guys? Those are either invitations to respond to a Rorschach Inkblot or invitations to give simplistic answers to simplistic questions. I thought both of them responded to all 4 of those questions about as well as you could expect. But then, I never have understood how a grown-up could be undecided about their presidential vote at this late date, after such a long campaign.
