Seldom have I seen such an across-the-board negative reaction to a onetime TV sweetheart. (And no, she's never been my sweetheart. But even I know that her daytime talk show received a lot of love from Middle America before the whole career went south.) Of course, it would have taken strapping me into the "Clockwork Orange" brainwashing chair to get me to watch even one minute of this thing (even if "Pushing Daisies" hadn't been on that night).
