I stand by my earlier comment that, though Swift is an attractive
blond, her music is uninspired. Having enjoyed the 75-80 degree
weather here in San Diego this weekend, I can state definitively that
one out of six women in Pacific Beach look as good or better than
Swift. Place one of them in a short dress holding a blinged-out guitar
and too much eye makeup and you have achieved the Swift phenomena.

By contrast, Caitlin Evanson managed to express a dynamic energy,
despite the fact she and the rest of Swift's band were kept in the
dark during the performances. I have got to meet this woman.

As for Neil's performance in last night's episode. I noticed a unique
energy from the audience. They seemed to really be supportive of
Harris in anything he said or did, and generally unenthusiastic
towards the cast itself. Neil was killing during the monologue (he
even made me laugh), until a few of the cast members posed as
hecklers, at which point the laughter immediately died... replaced by
disdain. The Today Show sketch... same thing. The two female cast
members rattled off their lines to a tepid crowd response, but the
energy tripled when Neil took the stage as the aerobics instructor.
Good for Neil. Bad for SNL.

Kevin M. (Looking for a good pop single? I recommend "The Show" by
Lenka, a happy little song about how life sucks... if you like the
macabre silliness of "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" by The Beatles, you'll
enjoy "The Show")
