I think that is what we did. The NJT was closed from exit 1 to exit 4. I am not sure when we crossed back over from 295 to the NJT, but it was not too far from Manhattan. We eventually got to what I think was the Lincoln Tunnel. It cost as more than an hour because we were first given a false early lead back to the NJT, which led to a huge traffic jam and then trek back to the 295. Whenever I drive in Manhattan I hear that funny David Letterman voice going on about the different Manhattan roadways - on this trip, since we eventually drove to JFK, I kept hearing him say something about "The Van Wyck".
