At least two major supporting characters on "King of the Hill" fit
that bill (John Redcorn and Dale Gribble Jr.). On cable you have Bobby
Stillwater on TNT's "Saving Grace" and I doubt he's the only one. (I
don't watch every show on cable.) I'll admit that you're more likely
to find an Indian on network TV (ER, Big Bang Theory, House, Numb3rs,
Chuck, Heroes) than a Native American but these things go in waves.
Last season Adam Beach's Detective Lake on Law & Order: SVU was Native
American and it was an important part of his character.

Wikipedia says that Native American and Alaskan Natives make up just
0.68% of the population as a whole. With Hispanics at 14.8% of the
population and also largely invisible on TV (Ugly Betty, plus
supporting roles on The Unit, Chuck, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, and
one of the nurses on ER) there are likely other groups in more dire
need of proper representation on network television.
