Empires come and empires go. For much of television's history, gay people didn't exist. Then a few years ago they started coming out all over the place. Now the novelty is worn out and they just seem to be another character in the mix. This is probably how it should be. It reflects life.
It does seem to bother me when a minority is suddenly stuck into a show. Did anybody besides me notice this on Eleventh Hour? It's like somebody in casting said, "wait a minute, these are all white people" and decided to do something to fix it. I remember a movie I was watching on DVD one day. Near the end, a black lesbian character was suddenly introduced and then never used again in the plot. They got a twofer in that scene. It just seemed so obvious to me. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV .... Smart (TV) People on Ice!
