Actually, Carson "[went] the other way" when Burt Reynolds was on the show to 
discuss his centerfold in Playgirl (baseball glove vs. hand, if I remember 
correctly).

I remember seeing Leno Live in Las Vegas in 1996 and jokes about his endowment 
were a part of his standup. I haven't watched his Tonight Show regularly for 
years, but I do remember that it was a staple of his humor in the nineties. The 
joke of over-representing oneself works as well as under-representing oneself.
