Yes, but then you have Larry King asking the same question at least
six times (possibly more), despite the subject of the interview asking
him to move on. That's overkill by any standard. Even if he isn't a
legal expert, which he isn't, he has interviewed enough people to know
that Prejean also isn't a legal expert who was only following orders
(no doubt given to her using easy to understand words, i.e.: "When you
hear the word 'mediation,' say 'no comment'"). He must know she
doesn't know how to think for herself, or she wouldn't be
regurgitating the same handful of sentences ending with the same
nervous laugh (a laugh that clearly indicates she knows she's a phony
and is clinging to the slim hope nobody else will see it... or am I
reading too much into it?).

Setting aside whether she deserved it, Larry King was rude to his
guest. It wasn't a situation where a guest was choosing to evade a
question. That implies a level of awareness I did not detect in
Prejean. It was a situation where the guest genuinely believed she was
giving the only answer she could, and she was genuinely confused by
Larry's unwillingness to accept that.

And I could just as easily argue for the other side, which I just
might if I am bored enough. As I said, both sides have no place on
television.
