The woman in question is Shirley Manson, and she's visited with Craig a few
times. FWIW, she had nothing to plug.

I'd agree that Craig is a bit better with Brits than Americans. Part of this I
think is that he knows a number of them professionally, if not personally, due
to CFerg's work in Europe before coming Stateside. Heck, I remember a couple
of times where it was clear - if not explicitly said - that the guest had
gotten good and altered with Craig at one time.

Nationality aside, if the guest has been on Craig more than a couple of times,
there's a good chance the interview will be a lot more fun. I think that's
true for most late night hosts, but it seems just a little bit more true with
Craig.

I think he's a little bit better with the Brits than he is with
Americans in general. I suppose it's a subconscious thing for him and
the guest that hearing a familiar accent in Los Angeles sets them both
at ease a little bit. I still remember an interview with Sophie
Okonedo his first week where after the obligatory couple of questions
he had to ask about Hotel Rwanda, he noticeably relaxed, his Scottish
accent got thicker (and so did her London accent), and they spent the
rest of the segment in a wonderfully animated conversation.
