The going rate for audience members ten-years-ago was $20. The company
I once worked for, On Camera Audiences (http://www.ocatv.com/) still
handles tickets for the show. When I worked for the company, they
operated out of an office above an old Radio Shack, so they were
certainly low on overhead.

If someone wants me to revisit the concept of paid audience members, I
can, but I have spoken about them in prior threads.

CBS could save money by eliminating the audience (though not all of
them are paid), but would it be in the best interest of the show? I
mean, picture a grown man alone in a studio playing with puppets. Oh
wait, I did that a few weeks ago. Never mind.
