OK, the subject should be "Paul Shaffer sang." While continuing my neverending quest to convert my VHS to digital, I found I unearthed this little gem from Comic Relief '87. Shaffer and the "World's Most Dangerous Band," along with a few guest musicians, performed a musical number, somewhat oddly introduced by Arsenio Hall, who had recently taken over for Joan Rivers as host of "The Late Show." Anyway, not gonna lie, the recording isn't great (recorded 23 years ago in SLP/EP mode), but it is fun and funky.

I don't want to jinx it, but it looks as though yours truly may have a job on the horizon (albeit an unlikely job at the other end of the world), but when it comes to talking about the homeless, this is literally a "there but for the grace of God go I" situation. If this potential job doesn't pan out, I will be mere weeks from being unable to pay the rent or feed myself. As it stands now, many bills are going unpaid. So if you are blessed in this horrific economy, please remember those who are not. I know the experience of financial ruin is something I'll never forget. -- Kevin M. (RPCV) -- TV or Not TV ....
