Yeah, we're way off topic now (or at least skewing heavily towards the
"or not TV" part of the message board's title). I experienced a micro
example of the macro problem facing America wherein certain
faith-based concepts are, if not outdated, at least in need of some
modern day perspective. I am still reluctant to state publicly exactly
what decision the administration made that was so bad, because I doubt
parents fully realized that such conscious decisions were made, and if
they were, I wouldn't be shocked if legal action against them was
considered. But the old school approach was that, in all things, faith
should be enough to sustain us and anyone who says otherwise isn't
faithful. My approach (new school if you like) is that God gave us
many gifts, including people trained to help out in a crisis. Well, a
crisis occurred and I was told the administration would not be helping
my students, so I took it upon myself to get them the help they
needed, and it was interpreted as an old school lack of faith. And I
was fired because of it.

I am positive when positive things happen. I am negative when negative
things happen.
