If a Google search is representative, it appears that the French are giving this more play than folks stateside (or at least the same story is running in more outlets over there). Some of the translations appear to suggest Ferguson is in on it.
The relevant translated (via Google Translate) section of this article: http://www.lexpress.fr/actualite/media-people/media/arthur-soupconne-de-plagiat-dans-un-show-americain_939375.html Plagiat? Plagiarism? According to the entourage of producers, "no rights have been bought", but "Arthur is super super happy and proud" to have been quoted by Craig Ferguson, "he admires." "Nothing is very new to television, it inevitably draws from what already exists," they added. Arthur even prepare a "surprise soon" and the two men "are perhaps more accomplices than you think. I don't believe Ferguson is in on this. Not sure if complices en Francais translates just as accomplices. I could be wrong, but a more likely outcome is that Arthur is trying to get on SCG's show. Any publicity, etc., etc.... Arthur's gig is apparently weekly - Mondays - so no on-air response until the 29th.
