As expected, NBC's picked up the Americanization of "Prime Suspect," with Maria Bello as Jane Tennison, and the Steven Spielberg-EP'd drama about a Broadway show "Smash," with Debra Messing, legit Broadway star Jack Davenport, Anjelica Houston and former "Idol" finalist Katharine McPhee (if I were Seacrest, I would say that NBC has the McPheever, but I'm not)--also, two sitcoms fronted by Christina Applegate and stand-up and frequent "Chelsea Lately" panelist Whitney Cummings:

And I can assume that once "Smash" appears Delfin can run down every single thing they've got wrong about producing a Broadway show. -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
