Surgery successful, actually a bolt rather than a rod; Dad was told by the (orthopaedic) surgeon that part of it sticks out of her skin a la the bolts on Herman Munster's neck (ObTV)... we won't know that for sure till we see her again, which could be at the hospital or back at the rehab center.
Our sh!t luck the days Mom (1) was taken to the other hospital with the initial injuries and (2) was taken to the local one for the operation, had to be the two hottest days yet in our area this year, and tomorrow (22) will be worse when they take her back. And it's even harder for Dad and me. He says he has an (old) AC that *might* fit our replaced windows, but it's probably either too much for him to handle or only powerful enough for one room (which will be the one where this computer is). -- BOB -- TV or Not TV ....
