Dad couldn't visit Mom last night.

We're still not sure what happened, but the left side of his face
apparently became paralyzed, and he was taken to the local hospital. I
spoke with an attending physician who said it might have been a TIA,
or stroke-like episode. He's been under a cardiologist's care for a
few years now (in fact, had just seen him that morning), and every so
often they insist on doing certain checks on his arteries about which
he's wondered, given that at the time nothing was happening. I also
know he's had a history of certain viral infections that could have
caused the facial symptoms. His family dr. will be checking on him
today, and we'll know what's what later on.

I'm glad I can at least get around on transit.

Sorry to hear about your mom and now dad.
Could your dad's new problem be Bell's palsy?
(Not pleasant but not as serious as a TIA episode)
