I can tell you that, for a Super Bowl, that game sure seemed to go by
fast. When I got the ping that the game had ended, I did a double take
at the clock. IIRC, that game took three hours of real time. Most SBs
tend to go closer to the 3 1/2 or 4 hour mark, which is probably why
they first moved the start time back, then realized they really didn't
have much more to talk about.

As an aside: There's been much talk about whether Mr Belichick is a
non-conformist genius who dislikes the way the sport has morphed in
the past 10 years or just a curmudgeonly asshole who likes pissing
people off to no end. I believe the decision to stall to the point of
running out the clock will give both sides ammunition.

Either way, I hope the NFL fines the hoody off him.
