So far, impressed with the raw, honest, goofy, blemishes-and-all "Girls" - some of the most clumsily real dialogue I've ever seen on TV, let alone in a sitcom. And Dunham seems to be as good a director as writer. Plus, her lack of shame (even in depicting shame) is bracing. As a big Iannucci fan going back to "Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge," I am enjoying "Veep" but I do miss the more vituperative elements of "The Thick of It." "Veep" needs a Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi) of its own.
