Given that 11.00am Moscow time, the start time of the downhill skiing, is 02.00am EST, this has got to be a real possibility doesn't it? Effectively, the primetime showing will be 18 hours after the event! And doesn't it feel odd that the event is over by the time Today is on air, yet they shouldn't report on what happened until that evening?
I'm sure I must have mentioned a famous episode of a 1970s UK sitcom called "Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads" (The episode title is "No Hiding Place") in which the "lads" of the title tried desperately to avoid finding out what happened in a crucial football match before they can watch televised highlights later than evening.
