Personally, I *am* taking Conan into consideration. He and Fallon are who I'd rank at the bottom of the list of hosts, based strictly on their interviewing skills. Nobody hides their "surreptitious" (sarcasm) glances at their notes worse than Conan, and I can almost see him reading from a script when a big-name comedian's sitting in the chair, and they're walking through a rehearsed bit disguised as a conversation.
Oliver would be an excellent choice, but he doesn't have anywhere even close to the name recognition to warrant handing him the reins of a Big 4 late night slot.
Seriously, I'd bet on Chelsea Handler before Oliver.

Because that's the name that jumps out at me as the obvious answer. I doubt Stewart wants the job. And I'm not sure he would be particularly good at it. Stewart may be the worst celebrity interviewer currently working in late night.It will be interesting to see if CBS Decides to compete directly with ABC and NBC with someone who can do Internet size bits of comedy aimed at the young.
