Even if they were sure that a judge would enforce a morals clause, the nightmare begins when a press release comes out saying Brian Williams is suing them for wrongful termination. The same media firestorm that has been going on around the story would get ramped up and everybody would be reminded again about Ann Curry and Leno/Conan, even if they are irrelevant to the current situation. If NBC really wanted him off the air they would have had to buy out his contract and negotiate a non-compete agreement, then watch him go to ABC after a year. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
