I was expecting Kevin to give us one of his classic, snarky, cynical, hyperbolic riffs, but as far as I can tell NBC should take this and release it as is (maybe, but only maybe, replacing the partially redacted "fucked" with something like "screwed" or "messed". If Aaron Sorkin were writing the screenplay for the episode of "The Newsroom" Brian Williams seems to have stumbled onto, NBC would release a statement just like this. I might add something to the effect that Brian will be taking 2 weeks off to reflect on how he got here and how he can make sure he does not return to this place. But, assuming NBC has not uncovered any evidence pointing to actual deception, as opposed to faulty memory and sloppy fact checking in his non-news delivering television appearances, what Kevin has written is literally what the situation requires. -- -- TV or Not TV ....
