A couple of adds on the day 1 coverage: I guess the prime time is actually live on the east coast (we still get treated like Donald Trump's pool boy out here on the west coast with a tape delay)? What made me notice that was when they broke into the Brokaw taped drone piece (I don't mean that it was about drones, but that he was droning on about the rain forest or whatever) to catch the unusual "do over" of the Beach Volleyball match (was it China-Australia?). I see Rio is only 1 hour past ET. That is the kind of think were I wish we could get at least some benefit from being tape-delayed - don't even go to the Brokaw piece for us, instead stay with the V-Ball so we can see the couple of minutes while the decision was made. But that would require that the on site folks kept reporting and taping even when they were not on live, which I guess they don't do.
I am all in with the Rugby Sevens - fast, exciting, and short matches. The guy doing the color commentary on archery (I assume they are in a basement in Secaucus or wherever) sounds enough like Greg Stink from the SNL ESPN sketches that I would not be surprised if it was a little bit intentional (but there was no "when you have a surprise between your thighs........VAGISIL!"). -- -- TV or Not TV ....
