In order to make an educated guess you have to know if there are any more
harassment suits in the pipeline and obviously nobody is going to share
that information. If O'Reilly returns to the air and another lawsuit
appears it makes FNC look bad - well, worse. But they kept him employed
knowing that he continued in his behavior. If they let him go and another
lawsuit pops up FNC can say they wash their hands and it's O'Reilly's
problem now.
