I'm still surprised that Colbert didn't get one of his Second City or Annoyance piano-playing buddies as the bandleader. Even though some of them aren't male, they are all-white--and I guess CBS really wanted an African-American band like the Roots, except perhaps more jazzy and less hip-hop.
