But Colbert, like Dave did, has not been taping on Fridays for a while.  I 
think this move just shortened the second taping (assuming it was a second 
taping and not an extra-long single taping).

Heck, most late night programs are either off or have been running repeats on 
Fridays for a while.  A quick review of 1iota and some show websites suggest 
that Fallon is the only late night host taping on Fridays, absent special 
occasions (it seems that Corden banks shows much like his LLS predecessor).
