I’m with Kevin on this one. NPR listeners are notorious for hating change, but I find the current version of the network—which I used to listen to many hours a day— to be mostly unlistenable now. Between the programming that’s too heavily influenced by “This American Life” (a show I’ve always loathed), the preference for magazine shows (especially “The Takeaway”) that skim over topics rather than deep-dive substance (like “Talk of the Nation”), and the mania to feature right-wingers in an attempt to appease listeners who don’t tune in and aren’t interested, it’s pretty useless.
Other than “Wait, Wait” and occasional segments of “Fresh Air” (when Terry Gross isn’t gushing or chuckling endearingly), I’m out. —Dave Sikula -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TVorNotTV" group.
