Setting aside for a moment Musk’s history of saying and doing things in a blatant attempt to affect stock prices (which he has done to amuse himself, even though the result sometimes is a personal financial loss to he and his friends), for him to become the sole private owner of Twitter makes him liable for everything posted on Twitter. He would spend the rest of his life (and fortune) fighting civil suits. Hell, I’d consider suing him over my Grammy nominated stalker’s continued presence on Twitter, when she was suspended from the network for (among other things) personally threatening me, yet was able to freely create multiple accounts in her own (stage) name, in so doing violating Twitter’s TOS.
I genuinely believe Musk is punking Twitter… but I don’t yet see what his end game is.
