Nothing has held up the sale, and to claim otherwise is to bolster Elon Musk, who does not need bolstering. I doubt the existence of internal evidence on spambots and fake accounts beyond what is already shared, for the very reason that Twitter would never want to be in a position to have to disclose it to anyone. Of course their count of active users is inaccurate, just as the counts of Facebook and Snapchat and every other social network are inaccurate. But that inaccuracy does not give Musk the right to back out of the sale, at least not without forking over a billion dollars first.
